Denny’s wanted to offer remixed versions of their classic dishes as the driving force behind one of their quarterly campaigns. So we created an unlikely partnership with Atari to remix some of their classic video games for the Denny’s App. The result? We mashed up Atari classics like Asteroids, Centipede and Break Out and gave them a diner spin. But we didn’t stop there. Our agency’s tech team hacked Atari cartridges and consoles so bloggers and influencers could play the remixed Atari games on real Atari consoles to test them out. We even streamed our video game world championship live on Twitch with the app game high scorers and became the first non-tech brand ever to do so. The Denny’s Atari app was downloaded over a half million times in the first 3 months of this agency-wide team effort. Check it out.
